Annual Events

The children perform a Traditional Nativity Play in the Village Hall at the end of the Christmas Term. During the Summer Term we hold an Open Morning with the children particiapting in a variety of drama and musical activites on a small stage. Sports Day is held on the last day of the Summer Term, in the Hall gardens. All parents are invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with their family after the last race.

 

 

 

French Club

French Club is optional activity that takes place on a Thursday afternoon. The children are taught in small groups by a specialist teacher. They learn through games, dance and conversation, generally gaining a small vocabulary, the ability to count to ten and to name colours and days of the week.

Swimming Club

Swimming is an optional activity that takes place on a Tuesday afternoon at the Ashbourne Leisure Centre. Each lesson is taken by a trained instructor and supported by two members of staff from the Kindergarten. The class averages twelve; children are given the opportunity to earn their elementary badges and certificates.

 

Music and Dance

Music and dance lessons take place in the Village Hall on a Wednesday afternoon and are taken by a specialist ballet and drama teacher.
